The Lake Charles facility participates in the Lake Area Industry Alliance (LAIA) and a local Community Advisory Panel as part of Grace's Responsible Care® program.

Moreover, the "Amazin' Grace" volunteer team supplies manpower to various community organizations. Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kid's Sake, Special Olympics and LAIA Chem Expo are just a few of the annual events. In addition, Grace is a long-time sponsor of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Employees also serve on boards of organizations, coach youth activities and volunteer at local agencies.

Grace operates a philanthropic arm (Grace Foundation) that donated $1.1 million in 2007 to nearly 300 organizations and educational institutions in North America. Significant donations earmarked for Louisiana in recent years included $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist in Hurricane Katrina recovery and more than $108,000 to the United Way of Southwest Louisiana through a company match program.
